Putting up your curtain rod can be a pain. Measuring to make sure you have it all in the right spot. Here’s a trick I came up with to speed things along. This is especially helpful if you’ll be doing the same task repeatedly.
Tools needed:
- Piece of cardboard (or paper if not available)
- Pen
- Curtain rod and hardware
- Curtains
- Screwdriver or screw gun
Step 1 – Cut out a piece of cardboard
Step 2 – cut a square out of one of the corners of the cardboard
Step 3 – place the cut in the card board along the window sill
Step 4 – figure out exactly where you want the holes to be for mounting the hardware to hold your curtain rod. Once determined mark them in the cardboard and to the wall
Step 5 – flip the cardboard over and repeat on the otherwise of the window. It will match up the same.
Now all you have to do is mount the hardware and hang the curtains!
